FAQs

i-Zombie Moon

My moon is 5 years old and the interior light is burned out.  Can I replace it myself?

1

No.  Lens removal and lamp replacement must be done by i-Zombie Productions. It is a fraction of the cost of a new unit and is usually a 1-2 day turnaround.  Save the box you received the moon in. It protects it during storage and is useful if you ever need to return it for service.

Can I get a black power cord to plug the unit into an outlet?

2

No.  At this time, white is the only color the power cord comes in.  The power cord has an in-line rectifier that converts the AC power in the outlet to DC power for light.  If you would rather the cord to be black, most folks just spray paint it.  Make sure to cover the moon graphic first.

I want to hang a moon in our home theater, but I don’t want the eye bolts showing.  What can I do?

3

We can build a moon without the eyebolts which are best for outdoor use.  We will put a reinforced hole in the back of the moon pan and you just hang it on a nail or a picture hook.

Laboratory Props

I have an idea for a lab prop.  Do you make custom props?

1

I would like to change the colors in my bubbler tubes.  Do you have different colored lights available?

2

Absolutely!  Call or email us and we’ll see if we can bring your idea to life!

Yes.  All the colored lights for our bubbler units use 6v LED Bayonet based bulbs. Call us to see if we have the colors and style you want. If we don’t have them available, we’ll tell you where to get them.  They are very inexpensive.

Can I use tap water in my bubbler prop?

3

We strongly recommend that you do not use tap water in your bubbler tubes.  Use only Distilled Water in your bubblers!  Using bottled drinking water, tap water, et al will cause mineral deposits, scaling, promotes bacterial growth, and other nasty problems.  Get Distilled Water from your grocery store.  It costs around $1.25 per gallon.

I would like to put my own props in my bubbler.  Is that OK?

4

Here’s the deal.  We use professionally made silicone arms in our “Arm Bubbler Unit”. It has a metal armature, so it doesn’t float and is double sealed, so water doesn’t destroy the prop or the paint job.  Latex props will melt into a pile of goo and ruin the unit.  We do not up-charge for the arm prop. You pay what we pay for it.  We sell the Arm Bubbler Unit with or without the arm.  It just looks a lot better with it.

Black Widow Cobweb Gun

Is it hard to shoot realistic cobwebs?

1

No.  When you understand a few basics, there really isn’t much to it.  Most problems people have can be solved by using a compressor of sufficient size.  An ideal compressor can generate 5 cubic feet of air per minute at 90 PSI with a 20-gallon tank.  Webs need something to grab onto. Chandeliers, lamps, sconces, bodies.  Even threads stretched across a doorway will work.  Don’t shoot flat surfaces.  Webs need to be suspended! Take your time.  Slow and steady on the trigger. Have fun!

I bent the airline and it won’t let hardly any air through.  Can I fix it?

2

Yes. Contact i-Zombie and order a new, pre-formed airline for around 10 bucks. It comes with easy instructions for replacing it!

I didn’t use all my WebSticks last year.  How long do they last?

3

Our WebSticks don’t have an expiration date.  Store them at room temperature away from direct sunlight.

I run a commercial Haunted House.  Will these cobwebs pass fire inspectors?

4

Yes.  According to the MSDS sheets on our WebSticks, they are Non-Flammable and Non-Combustible.  They are also Non-Toxic and have FDA food packaging approval #21CFR175.105. Made in the USA.  MSDS sheets available upon request.

The Black Widow Cobweb Gun costs more than another webgun I’ve seen on the internet.  Why should I buy yours?

5

If you are only going to shoot webs on one or two small objects, get the cheap one.  If you are shooting larger areas, you are going to want the power of a Black Widow.  Cheap web guns typically have 80-watt heating elements in them.  You get a few squirts of glue and then you must wait until it heats back up to keep going.  The Black Widow has a 200-watt heating element to melt the glue stick.  That means continuous shooting!  A 4-finger trigger reduces fatigue significantly and it also has a 1/4” airline so it can move twice the air / glue volume.  Cheap guns use 1/8” airlines.  The Black Widow is the Cobweb Gun of choice of many Theme Parks, Professional Haunted Houses, Escape Rooms and serious Home Haunters.
